Our summer internship program for third-year law students offers a genuine glimpse into the life of a junior associate at GKC Partners.

Each summer intern will belong to one or more practice groups and will work on real assignments together with the rest of the team, experience our culture, and explore business law and the role of an advisor—always with the support of committed mentors and colleagues.

Legal interns

Debt Finance Junior Associate

As a Junior Associate in our Debt Finance team, you will apply sound judgment and strong analytical skills to your work. Highly organized and self-motivated, you will be a team player with a strong professional presence and client-oriented mindset, in addition to excellent academic credentials and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting senior lawyers in providing legal services to leading international and domestic corporate clients.
  • Managing day-to-day communications to ensure smooth deal execution - relaying information to clients and external parties and responding to inquiries and requests.
  • Representing top-tier lenders and sponsors in leveraged and other complex cross-border finance transactions, working across various legal jurisdictions.
  • Conducting and overseeing due diligence processes.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior associates and/or trainees, delegating tasks effectively, and ensuring high-quality work.
  • Contributing to the growth and development of the practice.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2 to 4 years of post-qualification experience in Türkiye.
  • Strong academic record with intellectual curiosity and a creative mindset.
  • Excellent command of English and native or bilingual proficiency in Turkish.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, particularly under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach with a strong professional presence.
  • Methodical and detail-oriented work style with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent drafting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop managerial skills in alignment with career progression.
  • A solid understanding of AI applications in the legal field.

Internship

The internship application open dates and deadlines for the 2026 - 2027 term are December 15, 2025 to January 15, 2026 for Legal Internship, and January 15, 2026 to February 15, 2026 for Summer Internship.
